Jotain pientä / Something small

Enpä muista, koska olisin viimeksi aloittanut, pistellyt valmiiksi ja viimeistellyt pistelytyötä yhden päivän aikana :) Eilen kävi niin :) Ja tässä se on :)

Can't remember when I've last started, stitched ready and finalized something in one day :) It happened yesterday :) And here it is :)

Ja intoa riitti pieniin töihin vielä tämän jälkeenkin.
Tällä kertaa hieman paksummalla langalla ja puikkona virkkukoukku.
After this I wanted to continue doing something small.
This time using abit thicker "floss" and my needle changed into a crochet hook.



Päivä on kaunis ja aurinkoinen, mittari näyttää auringossa + 26 :)
Käsitöiden merkeissä jatkuu.... ;)

Äitienpäivä / Mother's day 2011

Aamulla lapset tulivat herättämään <3 Ja aivan ihana ruusun ja kortin sain <3 Kiitos rakkaat!! <3 <3 <3
Lounas syötiin perinteisesti vanhempieni luona ja isä oli valmistanut - jälleen kerran - aivan mahtavan makuista jauhelihacurrya :) Kiitos isälle hyvästä ruuasta. Äidille veimme lahjaksi kauniin kassin, jonka sisällä oli itse tekemäni tyyny ja korttina ja kukkana pistelemäni orkideataulu :) Kuvia sitten joskus, kun niitä vanhemmiltani saan.
Iltapäivä menikin rennosti kotona ollessa ja Joni poika kun lähti kotiin, minä istahdin takapihalle uimapuku päällä nauttimaan kauniista kelistä, auringon lämmöstä ja pistoista :) Uuden työn aloitin - olkoonkin, että keskeneräisiä on toooooodella paljon.... - ja tähän pisteseen sen kanssa pääsin :) Malli löytyy täältä

My chidren came to wake me up in the morning <3 I got a beautiful rose and a card <3 Thank you my darling ones <3 <3 <3
We had lunch at my parents and dad had made delicious minstmeatcurry :) Thank you dad for the great food. We gave mum a canvas bag, which had a pillow - hand made by me - in it. As a card and flower we had a framed orchid that I had stitched. I'll post pictures, once I get them from my parents.
I had a relaxing afternoon and once Joni had gone home I sat in the backyard enjoying the wonderful weather, the warmth of the sun and stitching :) I started a new one - yes, I know I have sooooooo many WIP's already ... - and this is how far I got with it :) Chart found here

An idea

Roaming around stitchy blogs in this wonderful internetworld I've found so many ideas :)
One of them seems like something to grab on to. I'd need help from 3 stitchers to make it work! Would you be interested?

Now you ask; what's the idea? Well, it's this; come December many of us love to open Christmas calanders - I sure do, don't you? This Christmas calander has alot to do with cross stitching :) Something stitched and something to help one stitch.

And what I'd like to do is to make an exchange (yes I know, I just posted I'm not takin part in any exchanges this year... guess I'm allowed with this one to change my mind - right? ;) ) in where four stitchers agree to send 8+8+8 stitchy presents to the 3 other participants, thus all four getting 24 wonderful Christmas calanderpackages to open while waiting for Christmas.

Did I make any sence? Hope so!

I'd really love to have this exchange and now I'm asking for you to participate with me :) Would you? Could you? If you participate, you commit to this exchange and you've got half a year to stitch and gather wonderful suprises :)

Pari pistoa / A couple of stitches

Minä olen nauttinut suunnattomasti siitä, että on aikaa pistellä :) On mukavaa istahtaa omaan pistelytuoliin, poimia pistely käsiini ja saada kaunista taidetta aikaan :) Mieli niin rentoutuu pistellessä :)

I've so enjoyed the fact that I have time to stitch :) It's really nice to sit into my stitching chair, pick up a wip and make beautiful art :) My mind so relaxes while stitching :)

Agin sivuilta löysin tämän kauniin puna-musta mallin, jota esittelinkin jo aiemmin. Nyt on pistot valmiina, vielä viimeistely tehtävänä. Minä niin tykkään näistä väreistä :) Kankaana on pellavaa, joka kauniisti värjätty, langat DMC:n 341 ja 939.

I found this beautiful rad-black chart on Agi's pages. Posted a picture earlier, now all the stitching is ready and finalizing coming up. I so love these colours :) I've got a beuatifully dyed linen fabric, floss 341 and 939 from DMC.

Huhtikuussa 2009 oli ristipistoviikonloppu Haukiputaalla - muistattehan :) Lilian Hollannista oli silloin meitä opastamassa uusiin tekniikkoihin ja ristipiston saloihin ja hän jakoi meille pisteltäväksi suunnittelemansa saksikotelomallin (joka tässä kyllä muokattu ihan oman näköiseksi). Nyt on työn alla näillä väreillä oleva kotelo, jonka tällä kertaa pistelen ihan ohjeen mukaan :)

Way back in April 2009 we had a stitchyweekend in Haukipudas - remember :) Lilian from Holland was teaching us new techniques and cs secrets and she shared a scissor case chart with us (which I personalized rather alot). Now I'm stitching one with these colours and exactly as chart says :)

Takapiha / Backyard

Eilen työstettiin vanhempieni kanssa takapihalle terassia :) Isä oli sahannut puut valmiiksi ja minä tasasin pihaa, jotta saatiin terassille vatupassitasaus :) Ja tältä näyttää työvaiheet :)

We worked on our backyard terrace yesterday :) My dad had sawn everything ready and I made the ground even enough to get the terrace nice and even :) And this is how it looked :)

Lahjoja / Presents

Viime jouluna sain veljeni perheeltä kottikärryt :) Näin kauniisti se koristaa kukkasin pihaamme :)
I got a wheelbarrow as a Christmaspresent from my brother's family :) It's decorating our backyard with flowers :)



Vanhempani kiikuttivat torstaina minulle nimipäivälahjan :) Nimipäiväni on kylläkin tänään :)
Keinu on kasattu - ruuveja pitää vielä kiristää, kunhan jostain saan lainattua tarpeeksi isoa ristipääruuvaria :)

Pistoja menneeltä viikolta / Stitches from this past week

Hullutuksessa pari työtä on saanut muutaman piston lisää :)
Got some stitches done to 2 of my Crazyness-WIP's :)

Unikot ovat kasvaneet lähes täyteen pituuteen, tästä puuttu puolitoista kukkasta, 5 lehteä ja 3 nuppua.

My poppies have grown to almost it's full lenght. Missing one and a half flowers, 5 leaves and 3 buds.

Laatikko täynnä koristeita on valmis - mitä nyt jälkipistot puuttuvat :) Ja paljon muutakin :)

The box with Christmas decorations is ready - ok, it's missing the backstitches :) And whole lot more :)
Tämän ihanan pääsiäispistelyn löysin jostain netistä (en vaan enää muista mistä...) ja pistelin sen DMC:n liukuvärjätyillä langoilla + puput valkoisella. Alkuperäiseen malliin verrattuna rajasin puput, sillä halusin tuoda ne paremmin esiin taustasta :) Viimeistely vielä vaiheessaan.

Found this easterchart somewhere on the internet - just can't remember where from... and stitched it with DMC's varigated thereads + the bunnies with white. I wanted to get the bunnies to jump out of this pic, so I backstitched them :) Needs some finilazing this one :)

I'm really facinated with Agi's freebies :) I stitched a biscornu from her designs earlier and now I'm stitching these;

Nuoremman tyttäreni poikaystävä pyysi - nähtyään biscornun - että pistelisin hänelle jotain värikästä :) Tähän on tulossa kaveriksi toinen ruutu, johon tulee reunat ja J-kirjain :)

Aurinkoa ja pistoja / Sun and stitches

Aurinko hellii lämmöllään ja hyvin näkee pistellä :)

Aiheeni Suomi-Saksa RR-kierroksella oli Tatty Teddy, jotka kotiutuivat turvallisesti :) Nyt minulla on 8 ihanaista Teddyä :) Pistelen oman osuuteni valmiiksi ja sitten viimeistelen molemmista kankaista tyynyt omaan makuuhuoneeseeni.

My new blogfriend Agi is from Hungary and this biscornu is desinged by her.
I love the different shape :) and it's quick to stitch.

Kurpitsojen pistely on ollut suorastaan ilo, sillä värit erottuvat kankaasta todella hienosti. Toisin kuin kulhot, joissa on ecrua ja valkoista. Kaipa minä vain tarvitsen kunnon valon nähdäkseni pistellä kankaan sävyjä lähellä olevilla väreillä.
My first start, Jan 1st 2011.
I've really enjoyed stitching the pumpkins, they pop out from the fabric so much better than stitching the white/ecru coloured parts. Guess I just need a very good light for seeing those close to the fabric colours to stitch :)

Tämä oli liki valmis pistojen osalta jo heti miten, muutama jälkipisto jäi edelliseen päivitykseen verrattuna. Nyt on jälkipistot tehty ja työ odottaa viimeistelyä, joka jääköön tällä kertaa omaksi tiedokseni :)

Tähän pisteeseen sain Isä Meidän.
Tämän piti olla vanhempieni 50v lahja, kunnes muutama viikko edellisen postauksen jälkeen olin vanhemmillani käymässä uuden kultani kanssa ja pitihän siellä sitten esitellä, mitä olen ajan saatossa vanhemmilleni pistellyt. Ja kuinka ollakkaan; olen pistellyt heille Isä Meidän rukouksen jo niin kauan sitten, etten enää sitä itsekkään muistanut.... Joten se siitä ja tämä tulee sitten itselleni ja valmistuu jossain välissä.
This is where I got with Our Father.
I was stitching it for my parents for their 50th anniversary till just a few weeks after my last post I was visiting my parents with my new love and of course I just had to introduce what I'd stitched for my parents over the years. And yes; I've stitched Our Father for them ages ago, just didn't remember it.... So that's that and now I'm stitching if for me :)

Suuren suuri pieni ongelma / A huge small problem

Eilinen meni melkein ilman pistoja... :( oksennus ja mieletön päänsärky oli seurana aamusta iltaan. Ja sitten lasit - siis ristipistolasini ovat hukassa :'( Enkä minä näe pistellä ilman niitä :'( Tänään onneksi ollut "vain" toipilas päivä, muttei piston pistoa, kun ne lasit on edelleen hukassa... :'( Pitäisi varmaan hakea uudet :)

Yesterday went almost without any stitches... :( vomiting and dreadfull headache all day, from morning till night. And I've misplaced my stitchingglasses :'( Can't stitch with out them :'( Today's been a better day, with "just" getting back to life from yesterday, but with out any stitces, since I can't find my glasses.... :'( Guess I need to buy new ones :)

Ajattelin tähän työhön tehdä hieman ylimääräistä,
sillä terälehtien valkoiset osat ajattelin pistellä, vaikka ne ovat mallissa jätetty tyhjiksi.

This Orchid is easy and quick to stitch.
The blue flower and back ground needs yet to be done.
I'm going to personalize this one with extra stitches;
I'm filling in the blank squares of the petals by stitching them with white.

Ruusu edistyy verkkaisesti, mutta joka pistohan sitä vie kohti valmistumista :)

Ensimmäinen / My first HAED

Esikko valitsi tämän mallin ja toivoo sen olevan valmiina siihen mennessä kun tyttö täyttää 30 :) Ikää nyt 19v :):) Iso projekti, toivon kuitenkin, että saan sen valmiiksi hieman ennen tyttären 30 v päivää :)

Pistelen kolmella langalla kahden yli, joten työstä tulee ISO!!

Aloitettu on, kuvaa jossain välissä.

My firstborn DD wanted me to stitch this model for her.And she hopes it's ready by the time she turns 30 y :) She's 19 now :):)I hope to have it ready sooner!I'm stitching it with 3 strands over 2, so it'll be HUGE projekt!
