Äidilleni / For my mother

Eilen sain viettää äitienpäivää neljässä polvessa; äitini, minä, esikoiseni ja Mio pieni :) 
Äidilleni pistelin ja virkkasin kauniin ja hempeän sampler mallin Cross stitcher lehdestä 190. Vaihdoin värimaailman äidin lempiväreihin ja tein hänelle pienen liinan äitienpäivälahjaksi.

I had the honor of spending mothers day with four generations; my mother, me, my first born DD and little Mio :)
I stitched and crocheted a beautiful sampler from Cross sttichers magazine 190. Changed the colors to my mothers favourites and made her a small tablecloth.

Sain itse viettää äitienpäivää lasteni ja lapsenlapsen kanssa ja tytöt olivat tehneet maailman parhaimmalta maistuvan kakun

I got to spend mother's day with my children and grandson and my girls had made the most delicious cake

IHSW, ristipistotapaaminen, RPH, synttärilahja / Stitchy gettogether, UCJC and bdaypresent

Ristipistotpaamisessa paikalla olivat Outi, Katri, Tarja, Ressu, Daniela, Virpi ja minä ja mukaan tuli (ilman pistelyjä) tyttäreni pikkuisensa kanssa :) Kiitos kaikille mukana olleille!! Oli ihana viettää aikaa kanssanne ja kiitos kovasti päänsäryn poistosta :D Liki 7h hurahti ihan hetkessä ja pistojakin tuli tehtyä höpötyksen ja nauramisen lomassa :D

Outi, Katri, Tarja, Ressu, Daniela, Virpi and my DD with her son (no stitching) spent the day with me! It was really nice to have you all here!! And thank you for getting rid of my headache :D Almost 7h went by with flying wings while chatting and laughing and actually come stitching :D.

Ihanat kanssapistelijät muistivat emäntää aivan mahtavilla lahjoilla :D

These wonderful ladies brought me beautiful gifts :D

 Katri taiteili minulle origamitaidoillaan sammakon ja koiran :) Aivan ihastuttavia. Ja uskokaa kun sanon, että sammakko pomppii oikeasti :D

Katri had origamid a frog and a dog for me :) They are just so adorable. And believe when I say that the frog really jumps :D

 Daniela oli pistellyt kauniin sydänsamplerin, jolla koristeli sydämen muotoisen rasian. Sisältä löytyi valoa :D

Daniela had stitched this beautiful heartsampler and decoreated this heartcontainer with it. Inside I found light :D

Outin antamasta puurasiasta paljastui neulatyyny, pöllökangasta viimeistelyyn, suloinen puusydän. Rasian ympärillä oli ihana sydänkuvioinen nauha, jonka myös voi hyödyntää viimeistelyyn :D

Inside the wooden box I received from Outi were a needlekeeper, owlfabric for finalizing, a cute wooden heart. The box had the nice heartribbon around it - good for finalizing too :D

Tarja ojensi tämän kauniin rasian, joka oli koristeltu pistoin ja kauniilla pitsinauhalla.

Tarja gave me this box that she had decorated with this beautiful stitching and laceribbon.

Sisältä löytyi tyttärenpojallekin jotain - taitaa kuitenkin jäädä käyttämättä ;) Pistelen siihen kyllä jotain vauvamaista :D

Rasia oli vuoritettu samplerkankaalla, jossa sopivasti luki "February" - vuosi tosin oli hieman pielessä 1821 ;) :P

Inside the box was something for my grandson - guess it'll never be used ;)  I'm going to stitch something babyish :D

The box had samplerfabric inside and conviniently it read "February" - though the year was a bit off being 1821 ;) :P

 Ressu toi tullessaan kukkasen ja suklaata :D Suklaat on syöty jo ja hyviä olivat *nam* Ja kukkakin vielä hengissä :P

Ressu brought me a flower and some chocolate :D The chocolates gone and was delicious *yummy* And the flowers still alive :P

Ystäväpäivävaihdossa sain Tarjan tuoman paketin ja sisällä oli lisää "valmista pisteltävää", silkkinauhaa, saippuan ja karkkia :P

I got Tarja's gift in the Valentines exchange and inside was something "ready to stitch", silkribbon, a soap and candy :P

 Ja enhän minä voinut olla aloittamatta pistelyä :) Ei lainkaan suunniteltu tälle vuodelle, mutta pistelty ja viimeistely tuli kaupan päälle :D Ja tämä koristaa keittiötäni - ihan seinälle laitoin :D
I just couldn't resist it - I had to start this stitching that wasn't planned for this year. It's stitched and had been finalized before stitching :D It's decorating my kitchen - hanging on the wall :D

Pistelyhän valmistui tammikuun 29 pv (RPH 2012 # 29) ja tämän viimeistelin eiliselle ristipistotapaamiselle ystävänpäivävaihtoon kassiksi. Kassin sai Katri :), joka saanut minulta joskus aiemmin jossain vaihdossa myös kassin :D

Stitched this on Jan 29th (UCJC 2012 # 29) and finalized it as a bag for yesterdays cross stitch gettogether as a Valentines exchange. Katri got this bag :) and she has a bag I made for her in an earlier exchange :D

 Ystävänpäivän kunniaksi paaaaaljon sydämiä :D

Vanhimman veljeni nuorimmainen täyttää huomenna 20v, kakkukahvin juhlittiin tulevaa synttärityttöä tänään. Omista kätköistä hain pistelyn, joka valmistunut 2010 ja pari kankaanpalaa sekä pitsivetoketju; niistä syntyi sankarille lahja, josta hän piti :D

My brothers youngest one is turning 20y tomorrow and we celebrated her today with coffee and cake. Took out a stitching that I had stitched in 2010, a couple pieces of fabric and a zip with lace; these turned out as a present for birthdaygirl and she liked it :D

Vajaa tunti oli tänään pistelyaikaa (intoa...) ja sen aikana tuli pisteltyä sammakko - ilman silmiä - ja reunakuviota pätkä :)


Stitched for less than an hour today (inspirationless day...) and stitched a frog - without eyes - and a bit of the banner

Ja ei päivää, ettei rakasta tyttärenpoikaa :) Pienestä se on tietokoneilu aloitettu... ;) Miolla ikää 3 ja 1/2 kk


And not a day without my darling drandson :) You're never too young to start computering... ;) Mio's 3 and a half months young

Tänään onkin ollut käsityön saralla monenlaista "pistoa" :) Aamusta virkkausta ja ristipistoja, illasta kuumeen kera peiton alla neulomista.

I've been doing all kind of "stitches" today :) Crochet and cross stitching in the morning, knitting in the evening - lying under my blanket on the sofa with a bit of a fever.

This is one piece for a blanket I'm knitting for Mio - a few rows to this one yet to knit and then a couple of pieces more to go along with the ones ready :)

Ja tässä mummin suloinen pikkuinen onkin :)
