Outin / Outi's RR + +

Outin RR oli aiheeltaan Lehmät ja sitä pistelin jo ennen Helenan villieläimiä. Omista malleista löytyi tämä hellyyttävä kuva, joka oli ihan pakko pistellä :) 

Outi's topic for her RR was cows. I stitched her a cuddling calf and momcow before Helena's wildanimals.

Mio oli mummilla yötä, kun äitinsä oli mökkiviikonlopulla. Pikkanen nukahti mummin sänkyyn päiväunilleen :)

Mio spent a weekend at grandma's while his mother had a cottage weekend with friends. Little Mio fell asleep in grandma's bed for his day nap :)

Kasvua / Growth

Sain lapsiltani äitienpäivänä ruusun, joka ollut ulkona koko kesän.
Toin ruusun sisään muutama päivä sitten, sillä siihen oli vielä ilmestynyt nuppu. Lämpö teki ihmeitä :)

My children gave me a rose on mothers day and this rose has been out all summer.
I brought the rose indoors a couple of days ago, since it had a bud. Warmth does wonders :)

Lahjoja / Presents

Viime jouluna sain veljeni perheeltä kottikärryt :) Näin kauniisti se koristaa kukkasin pihaamme :)
I got a wheelbarrow as a Christmaspresent from my brother's family :) It's decorating our backyard with flowers :)



Vanhempani kiikuttivat torstaina minulle nimipäivälahjan :) Nimipäiväni on kylläkin tänään :)
Keinu on kasattu - ruuveja pitää vielä kiristää, kunhan jostain saan lainattua tarpeeksi isoa ristipääruuvaria :)

Kukkasia / Flowers

Kauniit kesäkelit innoitti istuttamaan pihaamme muutaman kukkasen ja tässä kaunista loistoa :)

The wonderful summer weather inspired me to plant some flowers in our garden and here's the beauty of them :)

Janika valitsi vihreään ruukkuun kauniin vaaleanpunaisen ruusun ja pari murattia.

Janika chose a beautiful pink rose and the other 2 plants for the green pot

Janikan kanssa yhdessä pähkäiltiin mitä näihin ruskeisiin ruukkuihin laitettaisiin ja molempiin tuli samanlainen asetelma.

We put our heads together with Janika to figure out what to plant in these brown pots and they both got the same arrangement of flowers.


Lapsilta sain äitienpäivälahjaksi ruusun, joka pääsi maahan jo muutama päivä sitten :) Tässä sen nupuillaan olevaa loistoa :)

Kokeilua / Experimenting

Haukiputaan ristipistoviikonlopun aikana Lilian näytti/opetti minulle uuden pistotyylin. Nyt olen sitä uskaltautunut kokeilemaan ja ensimmäinen yritys meni hieman opettelun piikkiin, toinen kokeilu toi jo hieman enempi itseluottamusta tämän piston tekemiseen.

During our cross stitch weekend in Haukipudas, Lilian showed/taught me a new stitching style (don't remembered what it's called). I've tried it at home and my first attempt was learning and the second tryout was much more sucessful and gave me more selfconfidence in doing it.

Tätä täytyy toteuttaa kirjekuoren reunaan, kunhan vielä muutaman harjoituksen teen :D

After a few more practises, I'll stitch this on an envelope :D

Kovasti olen pistellyt tässä viikon aikana, mutta se on sellaista hyshys pistelyä, joten kuvaa en voi näyttää. Kunhan työ on valmis, kehystetty ja tilaajalta lupa saatu, niin varmasti näytän mitä olen täällä "salaa" pistellyt :D
I've been stitching alot during this past week, but it's been shush stitching, so I can't show you a picture. Once this piece is stitched, framed and I have permission from the orderer, I'll be sure to show you what I've been doing :D

Tänään olisi siivouspäivä - tiskikone pyörii ja pyykkikone pauhaa, nyt tavaroita paikoilleen ja imuria ja luuttua käteen. Sitten saakin taas pistellä sydämensä kyllyydestä :D
I need to cleanup today - the dishwasher's running and washing machine too, now I need to place "stuff" into their right place, vacuum and wash the floors. Then I can continue stitching with all my heart :D

Pihaa lokakuussa 2008 / Our garden in October 2008

Puolenpäivän aikaan olin pihalla haravoimassa viimeisiä lehtiä pois. Ihastelin siinä samalla miten kauniisti kranssi ja kehäkukat vielä kukkivat, vaikka ollaankin jo hyvin pitkällä syksyssä. Pikkuhiljaa alkaa lehdet kellastumaan, kukat jaksavat vielä tuoda kaunista väriloistoa pihaan.

I was doing some gardening today around noon. I just love the colours of my flowers, even though we are way into autumn already. The leaves are slowly turning yellow, the flowers add a wonderful colour to our garden.

Syyskuussa istuttamani nurmikko alkaa pikkuhilja nousta. Katsotaan sitten keväällä, mikä on tulos...

I planted grass in September and you can see a bit of it growing. Let's see what it looks like in spring...

Samalla huomasin, että äitienpäivänä saamassani ruusussa on nyt - lokakuun 19.sta päivänä 4 nuppua! Mielenkiinnolla seuraan, ehtivätkö puhjeta kukkaan ennen talven tuloa :D

The rose that I received for mothers day has 4 buds! Today - October 19th!!! It's going to be interesting to follow the growth - will they make it to roses before winter? :D
