I've been stitching, crocheting, stithcing some more, renovating, stitching, crocheting, knitting and stitching :)

Most of my stithings are still WIP (or maybe they really are UFO, but I'm working on them), more of them later :)

Päänlämmitin /Headwarmer

Pakkasella kun en osaa käyttää pipoa ja nyt on sen verran kylmä ollut, niin tekaisin itselleni "päänlämmittimen". Lankoina Satu ja jotain Novitan multivärjättyä ja nelosen puikot.

Since I don't like wearing any kind of hat during the winter and being as cold as it is, I made myself a "headwarmer". Yarns are Satu and some multicolored Novita, knitted with 4mm needles.

Neuleena Newfoundlandia, jota paikkapaikkoin sovelsin :)

Knitted as a Newfoundland knitting with a couple of twist here and there :)

Tein jokaiselle lapselleni ainakin yhden lahjan itse.

 Made my children at least one present.

Esikoiseni sai röyhelöhuivin ja villasukat - ainakin yksi väri kummassakin osui lapseni lempiväriin :)

Huivista ei kuvaa löydykkään, sukkien kanssa osui lähestulkoon raidotukset kohdalleen :D 

Firstborn DD got a rufflescarf (no pic) and a pair of socks.

There is one of her favourite colors in these socks and the strips are almost indentical :D

Nuoremmalle tyttärelle väkersin pitsiset sukat ohuen ohuella langalla ja ohuilla puikoilla. Ohje löytyy täältä

Made my younger DD lacesocks with thin needles and yarn. Instructions found here (in Finnish)

 

Kuopukseni sai sitten pipon, jonka ohjeen (joulukalenteri löytyy rullaamalla alaspäin ja sieltä myssy ja huivi) mukaan aloitin laelta. Kaksinkertaisella langalla tästä liukuvärjätystä langasta tuli mielestäni mukavan eloisa :)

DS got a knitted hat. Started this one from the top and I think this yarn came nicely to life knitting it doubleyarned.

Pienoinen joulun aikainen pistelykin valmistui viimeistelyin tänään :)

Stitched this little fish during the Christmas holidays and finalized it today :)

Kokeilua / Try out

Veljeni vaimo haluaa toisenkin röyhelöhuivin :) Pitihän sitä sitten kokeilla, että miten onnistuu röyhelölangan ja normilangan yhdisteleminen.

My SIL wants a second scarf :) I had to try out how to knit combining ruffleyarn and normal yarn.

Puputi / Bunny

Netistä kun löytää kaikkea kivaa, niin näin pupusen, jota päätin kokeilla. Hieman on kyllä vielä harjoitusta tehtävä, että saan nämä söpöliinit näyttämään pupuilta... Ensimmäinen näyttää lähinnä Lilo&Stitchin Stitchiltä ;), toinen on hieman pienipäinen ja kolmas nyt jo pikkuhiljaa menettelee :D

Finding all kind of nice on the www, I saw this bunny that I just had to try out. I need some more practise to get my bunnies to look like bunnis... My first one looks like Stitch from Lilo&Stitch ;) and the second one has a bit of a small head. The third one is actually looking like a bit of a bunny :D

Huivi / Scarf

Veljeni vaimo pyysi minua tekemään hänelle röyhelöhuivin. Ja tuumasta toimeen, langan osto ja sitten puikot kilisemään ja vot, parisen tuntia yhteensä ja tämä on tulos;

My brothers wife asked me to make her a rufflescarf. Bought the yarn and started knitting and voilá after a couple of hours this;

Jotain punaista / Something red

Kirsi pyysi tekemään nallelleen punaisen mekon ja tonttulakin. Niinpä puikot käteen ja sitten virkkuukoukku ja tällaista syntyi :)

Kirsi asked me to make her tiny teddy a red dress and a Christmas hat. Needles - both knitting and crochet - with red yarn and this warm born :)

Kun kerran maa on jo valkoinen, niin pitähän tuoholle mekolle tehdä kaveriksi punainen "bolero" :)

And I just had to make a "bolero" to fit the dress, since there's snow already :)

Pistoja tehty :) / Done some stitching :)

Heips maaliskuuhun. Kohta jo kuun puolivälissä ja kevät tulee kohinalla. Ihanan aurinkoisia kelejä! Ja pistoja on syntynyt - päivitykset hieman ontuneet. Tässä siis rypästä tämän kuun pistoista!

It's March - almost half of this month has passed and spring is rushing itself. I love the sunny weather! I have been stitching - my updates are behind. So here's what I've been doing during March!

Hullutus # 28 valmistui 2.3. ja tein siitä veljelleni 50v kortin. Kortista en huomannut kuvaa ottaa :( mutta tässä pistely valmiina :) 

Crazy # 28 was stitched ready on the 2nd and I made it into a 50y b-daycard for my brother. Didn't remember to take a pic of the card, but here's the stitching ready :)

Seuraavan oli vuorossa hullutus # 22, jota pistelin 5., 6., 11. ja 12. päivinä, yhteensä tähän tuli näiden päivien aikana 963 pistoa lisää :)

Next I stitched on crazy # 22 and I have been stitching on this one for several days - the 5th, 6th, 11th and 12th. 963 stitches more :)

Vuoroon tuli hullutus # 15, jonka sainkin valmiiksi :) Tätä pistelin 7. pv ja pistoja tuli 559 - yhteensä 1579 koko mallissa. Viimeistelyä vailla, mutta sehän vaatii myös 12-14 töiden valmistumisen, sillä kaikki ovat samalla kankaalla.

It was turn for # 15 which I stitched ready on the 7th :) with 559 stitches. This stitching had 1579 stitches in all. Now it's waiting for finalization, just have to get # 12-14 stitched ready, since they are on the same fab.

Ja kun tämän syksyn sain valmiiksi, niin jatkoinpa kevääseen eli hassutukseen 13, joka valmistui 9. pv. Keväässä pistoja yhteensä 1820 :)

Since I got autumn ready I wanted to continue into spring which was # 13 and stitched it ready on the 9th. Spring has 1820 stitches :)

Meninpä sitten ostamaan itselleni uusimman Cross Stitchers lehden, jonka mukana tuli tämä - ja sehän piti sitten pistellä samantein ja on menossa Miolle <3 Tässäkin pienessä työssä on peräti 558 pistoa ja valmistui viimeisteleyä myöten 11. pv. (onneksi liima kuivui, eikä enää ole näin "kaunis"...)

I bought the newest Cross Stitchers mag and got this with it - and I just had to stitch straight away. It's for Mio <3. There are 558 stitches in this little piece, which I stitched and finalized on the 11th. (lucky for me the glue dried and doesn't look so "beautiful" anymore...)

Ja sitten huomaan, että olenhan minä pistellyt suttakin tässä kuussa - 3. ja 5. pv:t. Susi tällä hetkellä tämän näköinen :)
Just realized that I have been stitching on the wolf this month - on the 3rd and 5th days. And it looks like this now :)

Ja pistot jatkuu :P :D

And stitching continues :P :D

Välillä tulee kuitenkin tehtyä muitakin käsitöitä ja Japaniin lähtee tämä sukkapari

Esikollekin on syntymässä sukat - yksi valmiina ja toinen puikoilla - nämä kyllä jo helmikuun töitä :)

Tänään onkin ollut käsityön saralla monenlaista "pistoa" :) Aamusta virkkausta ja ristipistoja, illasta kuumeen kera peiton alla neulomista.

I've been doing all kind of "stitches" today :) Crochet and cross stitching in the morning, knitting in the evening - lying under my blanket on the sofa with a bit of a fever.

This is one piece for a blanket I'm knitting for Mio - a few rows to this one yet to knit and then a couple of pieces more to go along with the ones ready :)
