RPH / UCJC 2012 # 15 & 3

15.sta päivän aloituspistot jäivät vähiin, kun päivässä oli reilun 7h kestänyt reissu. Aloitus saatu aikaan kuitenkin, vaikkakin pistoja ei alku vuoden malliin tullutkaan. 15.sta aloitus Vuodenajoista Syksy ja siinä pistoja 196.

Day 15, start 15, less stitches than what I've manage to do with the first 14 starts. Picked up my younger DD and the trip took over 7 hours... My 15th start was Autumn from Quaker Seasonal and managed 196 stitches.

Lauantailta jäi fiilis, että jokin aiemmista pistoista voisi myös valmistua, joten kaivoin esiin päivän 3 kankaan ja sain ristipistot tehtyä. Tähän työhön tulikin sitten 451 ristipistoa lisää ja jäljelle jää siis jälkipistot ja muutama ranskalainen solmu.

Saturday left me with a feeling of getting something ready, so I dug out the fab from day 3 and got the cross stitching done. It took 451 more stitches and now I'm left with backstitching and a few french knots.

RPH / UCJC 2012 # 14 & 10

Tämänpäiväinen aloitus siis Quaker Seasonal - sarjasta kesä. Siihen pistoja 614 ja sitten teki mieli pistellä loppuun yksi jo aiemmin aloitetuista hullutuksista. Kaivoin päivän 10 aloituksen ja siihen tuli 110 rastia, 4 ranskalaista solmua ja muutama jälkkäri ja avot - pistojen osalta valmista :D

Today's start was Summer from the Quaker Seasonal series. I got 614 stitches into it. Then I wanted to finish stitching on of the previous starts for this UCJC and dug out the start from day 10. Got 110 stitches, 4 french knots and a couple back stitches and voilá - it's ready with the stitching :D

Huomenna onkin sitten taas rajattu pistelyaika, kun auto kutsuu kyytimään nuorempaa tytärtä kotiin ja matkaa aikaa lienee tulevan yli 5h. Jos keli ihan pöpperö, niin aika sitten lisääntyy... Mut muutama pisto on tarkoitus kuitenkin tehdä uuteen aloitukseen, joka siis Vuodenaika nelikosta viimeinen, eli Syksy.

I've got limited time of stitching tomorrow, since our car is calling me to pick up younger DD home. I'll be sitting in the car to over 5 h and if the weather is awful, I'll be sitting in the car for longer... But I will stitch some with day 15's start Autumn from the Quaker Seasonal.

RPH UCJC 2012 # 13, peak on 12-15

Jälleen on yksi päivä eletty tammikuusta 2012 ja kolmastoista aloitus pistelty. Tämä pistely jatkaa 12. pv aloittamaani vuoden aikojen sarjan, jonka malli ollut aikanaan The Gift of Stitching lehdestä. Nyt oli vuorossa kevät ja kevään pistoja tuli 763 :) Samaiselle kankaalle tosiaan tulossa 4 vuodenaikaa ja kun vuorokausi ehti vaihtua 14.sta päivään, niin sain muutaman piston tämän päivän aloitukseen.Toinen kuva on 3.sta aloitetusta vuoden ajasta.

One more day of Jan 2012 has passed and start 13 done. Day 13's stitching continues the Quaker Seasonal with all 4 seasons and the chart is from The Gift of Stitching. It was time for spring and spring started with 763 stitches :) This same fabric will hold all 4 seasons and since day has changed to the 14th I did a quick start. The 2nd pic is of all 3 started seasonals.

Tänään olikin vuorossa 4:n sarjasta ensimmäinen. Kyseessä on The Gift of Stitching lehden Vuodenajat Quaker Samplerista Talvi. Pistelen kaikki neljä vuodenaikaa samalle kankaalle, huomenna on vuorossa kevät, ylihuomenna kesä ja sitten vielä syksy. Tässä siis aloitus talvesta, jossa pistoja 941:

I started the first of a Seasonal Quaker sampler from the magazine The Gift of Stitching. I've been stitching Winter, tomorrow it's time for Spring, the day after Summer and then Autum. Here's my start for Winter with 941 stitches:

RPH / UCJC 2012 # 11

Vaihdoin hieman pistelyjärjestystä, sillä tälle päivää suunniteltu leijona on vielä sopivaa kangasta vaille. Joten otin päivälle 18 ajatellun pistelyn tähän päivään ja siirsin jellonan sitten 18.sta päivään :) Ihan en eilisiä aatoksia saanut täytettyä tälle päivää, sillä väsy oli melkoinen ja sitten ihana yllärivierailu veljen ja vaimonsa luona antoi mukavan piristyksen tähän meidän perheen arkeen - ainakin minua piristi oikein ihanasti!
Joten - seli selin jälkeen :P - sain tämän päivän J kirjaimen pisteltyä muutamaa jälkipistoa vaille valmiiksi. Ei siis puhettakaan, että olisin jatkanut NL:ää tälle päivää. No, kyllä se valmistuu sekin :D

I changed my stitching order today. I didn't have a suitable fabric for the lion, so I got day 18's chart out and moved the lion to day 18 :) Yesterdays idea of getting 2 stitched ready and finalized did'n't happen today. I've been really tired and we made a suprise visit to my brother and his wife and it was just fantastic! I had a wonderful time and a break to our normal days.
So after explanations :P - I got todays J stitched and it's missing just a few backstitches. No chance of continuing on yesterdays NL. Well, it will get ready :D

RPH / CJC 2012 # 10

10:nen päivän aloitus Newton's Law - You're irresistible! näyttää tältä ensimmäisen päivän 710 piston jälkeen. Tästä ei hirmusti puutu enää ja varmasti valmistuu piakkoin, kun seuraava hullutus on pieni työ :D Jos vaikka saisi kaksi kärpästä yhdessä päivässä vietyä loppuun asti. Ja suunnitelmat on jo olemassa, miten viimeistelen sekä tämän 10:nen päivän aloituksen että 11.sta päivän pistelyn :) Vaatii kyllä hieman ostoksilla käyntiä :P

With 710 stitches Newton's Law - You're irresistible! looks like this at the end of day 10's start. It's not missing many stitches and I hope to have it ready soon, since my start 11 will be a small one too :) I hope to get 2 stitchings finished in one day. And I do have plans for the finalization for both 10 and  11, it'll just need some shopping first :P

Non ni, se oli sitten vuoden ensimmäinen työ valmistunut ja viimeistelty. Kyseessä siis hullutuksen 8. aloitus ja kun työ oli sen verran pieni, niin pistelyn jälkeen päätin heti viimeistellä siitä koristuksen olkkariin/makkariini (sama huone). Ja näin 282:n piston ja muutaman ompeluminuutin jälkeen syntyi tämä:

I've got my first stitching finalized for this year. It's my 8th start in UCJC and since it was a small chart, I decided to finalize it after stitching. I made a pillow out of it for our living room/ my bedroom ( the same space). And this is what 282 stitches and a few minutes of sewing looks like:

Ja nyt taas tiedän, että pellavakangas on aivan kamalaa pisteltävää- en tykkää!!!!
And once again I know that linen is awful to stitch on - I don't like!!!!

RPH / UCJC 2012 # 7

Vuoden 2012 7. päivä on ohi ja 7. ristipistotyö aloitettu :) Uusia aloituksia jäljellä enää 24 ;) :P :D Seitsemäs aloitus oli Maxxina lehdestä toine Halloween noita, johon pistoja sain aikaan 1079.

The 7th day of 2012 is over and also my 7th start on cross stitching :) There are only 24 new starts left for Jan ;) :P :D My 7th start was a second Halloween witch from the mag Maxxina and I got 1079 stitches into it.

Teinpähän sitten hieman laskutoimituksia ja kävin kaikki nämä 7 aloitusta läpi ja pistojen saldo tälle vuodelle on:

3. pv NLn Kahvi aamu 410

4. pv MS:n Sweet Friends 664

5. pv Kettu Maxxina lehdestä 391

Yhteensä siis alkuvuoden ristipistot ovat saldoltaan 4601 :)

Olen itse ehkä kaikista hämmillääni näistä pistojen määristä, sillä kun katselen aikaan saannoksiani niin eivät ne näytä siltä, että niissä ihan oikeasti olisi niin montaa pistoa. Hieman olen miettinyt sitäkin, että montakohan pistoa sitä on tässä menneen 6,5 vuoden aikana tullut pisteltyä... en ole aiemmin laskenut ihan näin tarkkaan, mutta nyt tuli Hullutuksen myötä sellainen olo, että haluan tietää :D

I guess I'm the one who's totally suprised by the amount of stitches. When I look at what I've stitched, they really don't seem to have that many stitches in them. With this, I've wondered how many stitches I've stitches during the past 6,5 years I've been stitching.... never counted before - not this accurate anyway. This counting came along with this Ultimate Craziness and I just want to know :D

Illasta pääsin pistelemään :) Tulosta syntyi, kun sain pistelyrauhaa parin tunnin ajaksi :) Pistoja tuli 551 :D

I got to stitch some time during the evening :) I got stitching peace for a couple of hours :) And stitched 551 stitches :D

Eilisen pistoja tuli 391 :D ja minulla on aivan ihana fiilis, että olen saanut aloitettua vuoden 5 ensimmäistä työtä niin ihanilla määrillä pistoja. 

I managed to sttich 391 stitches yesterday :D and I feel to wonderfully happy that with these 5 starts for this year, I've had the change to do such an amount of stitches.

Eilen tuli pisteltyä jälleen :D Nyt vuorossa Margaret Sherryn malli, johon pistoja sain yli 600 + osan rajattua ja puolipisteltyä :D Eli hyvä vauhti päällä eiliselle :D

Did some stitching yesterday :D It was time to start one on Margaret Sherry's desings. I got over 600 stitches done and some halfstitches too :D Had my speedy needle going :D

Viidennen päivän pistelyistä kuvia myöhemmin, ajattelin vielä hieman siihen pistoja saada tälle päivää. Tosin tämä päivä on ollut jälleen melkoisen menokas ja henkisesti raskas, joten pistot jääneet vähemmälle... Mutta nyt pistojen pariin :D

I'll post a picture later on what I've started today. Thought I'd get a few more stitches into it before the days changes. Today has been full of errands to do and rahter heavy mentally, so I haven't been able to stitch as much I would have wanted to... But I'm off to stitch :D

January third and my third start for this year. Didn't have alot of time to stitch with meetings and other erands to run all day... but I did get over 200 stitches done :D

RPH / UCJC 2012 päivitystä

Viimeiset 2,5h vierähtänyt läpikäydessä mitä on ja mitä tarvitsen hullutukseen. Olipas urakka ja vielä on kankaat ja langat tarkistamatta... huoh! Iso on urakaa - mutta ei millään malttais vartoa tammikuun 1. 2012 jotta pääsis aloittamaan :D Muutaman muutoksenkin tein mallien kanssa. Kuvia en ole saanut ladattua, kun tämä koneeni on mikä on eikä suostu yhteistyöhön kameran tai skannerin kanssa. No, kuvia sitten aloituksista :D

I've spent the last 2,5h going through what I have and need for my crazies. Still got to check my fabs and flosses... boy oh boy! It's a huge challenge - then again I'm impatient for Jan 1st 2012 to get started :D I've changed a couple of charts. Don't have any pictures to show, my computer being what it is with not working with my cam or scanner. Well, pictures of the starts then :D

Nyt se sitten on virallista; olen aivan hullu!!! Mutta silläpä on hyvä osallistus Hullutukseen ensikin vuonna :D Ja mistäkö hulluus nyt sitten iski päälle; otin ja laskin yhteen valitsemieni mallien koot ja sainpa tällaisen kauniin lukeman : 2937 l x 3159 k. Jos nyt joku kauhistelee, niin eihän tämä määrä tule kuitenkaan pistoja :D Yksikään töistäni ei ole kokonaisuudessaan kankaan peittävä, joten varsinaisten pitojen määrä tulee olemaan vähempi kuin 7489989 pistoa :D Niin, jäänpä miettimään tätä ja ensi vuonna sitten pistelemään näitä.

Now it's official; I'm totally crazy!!! What better reason to take part in Crazy January Challenge for nest year :D Where did this craziness come from; I counted the widths and heights of the charts/kits I have chosen and got these beautiful numbers: 2937 w x 3159 h. If you are terrified, don't worry since I won't be stitching all of these stitches :D Not one of my crazies are stitched full, so the actual stitches will be less than 7489989  stitches :D Yep, I'll continue thinking about this and start stitching these come next year.

No ni, loppuvuoden spurtti näköjään päällä - tai ainakin osaan hyvin hämätä itseäni, että "muka".... Mut kuitenki; RPH 2011 merkeissä jälleen yksi pistos valmiina :D

Okay, I've sort of got this "last minute for this year" going on - or atleast I'm fooling myself very well, sort of like "as if".... But anyhow; CJC 2011 has one more stitching ready :D

Tässä kohtaa täytyy (ehkä) myöntää, että epäilen loppujen RPH 2011 töiden valmistuvan enää tänä vuonna. Syy siihen, että keskeneräiset ovat suht suuria - toiset enempi, toiset vielä enempi ;) :P ja voipi olla, että kun vuotta on jäljellä enää 24 pv, niin ei onnistu. Mut vielä kuitenkin on aikaa 24 pv....

At this point I have to admit (I think) that the rest of my CJC 2011 might not get ready during this year. The reason being that the one's I've got left are rahter big - others big, the rest even bigger ;) :P and the remaining 24 days of this year might not have enough hours for me to finnish them. Then again, I do have 24 days time....

Hullutus / CJC 2011

Hullutus #8 oli mukanani lauantain ristipistopikkujouluissa Kirsillä. Iso kiitos sinulle Kirsi, kun jälleen otit meidät pistelijät vastaan kauniiseen kotiisi! Ja kiitos mukavasta seurasta :) kaikille mukana olleille: Mintsi, Tarja, Outi, Marjo, Anni, Ressu, Pinja, Mari, Sari, Katri, Daniela ja Niina. 


Niin siis Hullutus oli mukana ja taisin siihen saada peräti 20 pistoa aikaan tapaamisessa, mutta kärpänen iski kotiin niin, että nyt on yksi RPH 2011 töistäni valmiina :D Enpäs muista, monekso on, mutta kiva tunne on, kun saa pistelyn valmiiksi. Ja kuvitelkaa; tämän yhden ainoan vuoden sisällä :P (ne, jotka tuntevat minut, tietävät, että projektini valmiiksi saamiseen saattaa vierähtää vuosi jos toinenkin...)


I had my CJC 2011 #8 with me on Saturday when Kirsi had arranged a christmas party for us stitchers "down south". Thank you so much Kirsi for having us all at your beutiful home! And thank you for the lovely company :) to Mintsi, Tarja, Outi, Marjo, Anni, Ressu, Pinja, Mari, Sari, Katri, Daniela ja Niina. 


Ok, I had my CJC with me and got about 20 stitches to it during our get together, but I brought home a "stitchybug" and have one off list and ready :D Can't remember how many I've got ready, but the feeling of pleasure when the stitching is done and ready is just great! Imagine; it's ready with in the year LOL (those of you who know me, know that my stitchings might take a year or a few to get ready...)

Jotain ihan pientä sain pisteltyä juhlahumun jälkeen ja pistot jatkuneet muutaman tovin alkuviikosta.
I did manage to stitch a bit after the weekends celebration and have stitched a couple of moments this week.


Passione Ricamon Kevät keiju pääsi pitkästä aikaa kaapista ulos ja sai viikonlopun ISHWn aikana helmaansa helmiä.
Passione Ricamo's Spring fairy got out of the box after a long while and got beads in it's hem during the weekends ISHW.

Eilen ja tänään on muutama pisto tullut sitten lisää, kun sain kulmien metallilankaosuudet valmiiksi ja tänään sitten oli vuorossa pistellä ensimäinen lehti. Kuvan jälkeen sain lehden valmiiksikin.
