Mio Alex Jonathan

Rakas pieni tyttärenpoikani sai 19.11.2011 kasteessa nimensä. Tyttäreni eli pojan äiti oli valinnut aivan ihanat nimet omalle rakkaalle pienokaiselleen.
Juhlassa mukana olivat kummit Janika (sylikummi), Henri ja Neea ja "epävirallinen kummi" Mea, isoisovanhemmat, äidin = tyttäreni enot perheineen, Mikko ja Siiri, Miika ja Kirsi ja tietysti tyttäreni ja minä. Pappina toimi nuoremman tyttären rippipappi, joka nyt siis myös Mion kastepappi Esa Kokko.
Juhlat olivat kauniit ja oli ihanaa saada viettää pienokaisen suurta juhlaa yhdessä sukulaisten ja ystävien kanssa. Kiitos kaikille, kun olitte mukana!

My darling grandson was baptised on November 19th. My daughter had chosen such beautiful names for her dear son.
Celebrating with us were the godparents Janika, Henri and Neea and "unofficial godparent" Mea, greatgrandparents, both my brothers with their families, Mikko, Siiri, Miika and Kirsi and of course my daughter and myself. The priest Esa Kokko was the same who confirmed my younger dauhter Janika in August 2011 and now is also my grandsons baptiser.
The occasion was beautiful and it was so wonderful to share this special day with family and friends. Thank you all for being here!

Kasvua / Growth

Sain lapsiltani äitienpäivänä ruusun, joka ollut ulkona koko kesän.
Toin ruusun sisään muutama päivä sitten, sillä siihen oli vielä ilmestynyt nuppu. Lämpö teki ihmeitä :)

My children gave me a rose on mothers day and this rose has been out all summer.
I brought the rose indoors a couple of days ago, since it had a bud. Warmth does wonders :)

IHSW Oct 14th -16th 2011

I'm missing a stitchy weekend that I had signed up for ages ago. The reason being my DD's giving birth to her first born any day now and it would've been a too long drive home if her labor started. So I decided I'm needed more at home - even though I would have loved to see all my wonderful stitchy friends and have a laughter therapy weekend with them. 
Nyt jää ristipistoviikonloppu väliin. Esikoisen synnytys on niin lähellä, etten uskalla lähteä kauas... jos vaikka synnystys alkaisi tässä viikon lopun aikana, niin Tyrnävältä on tooooosi pitkä matka kotiin. Olisihan se ollut ihanaa tavata pisteleviä ystäviä ja viettää nauruterapiaviikonloppu! Ehkä sitten ensi kerralla :)


But not to worry; It's time to stitch all weekend :) with everyone around the world who are taking part of this weekends IHSW.
Mutta ei hätää. Pistelyviikonloppu kuitenkin :) kansainvälisen porukan kanssa IHSW merkeissä.


I'm stitching on none other than my first grand child's birth"sampler". I've got this much done and am determined to have it ready asap - want it to be ready before little one's born :) And once this one is ready I'm starting on a new project - yes, I know, shouldn't start a new one with all the WIP's and UFO's screaming their heads off... - but it's just a must :) Can't tell you why, but  be sure; you'll know in time :D
Minulla työn alla tulevan lapsenlapsen syntymätaulu. Tämän verran on tehtynä ja tavoite saada valmiiksi pikaisesti, että on sitten valmiina ennen lapsen syntymää :) Ja kun tämä on valmis, niin aloitan uuden - juu juu tiedän, ei pitänyt aloittaa mitään uutta sillä WIPit ja UFOt huutaa kurkku suorana ... - mut ku on vaan pakko :) En voi kertoa miksi, se selviää sitten aikanaa :D

Hups, onpas aika vierähtänyt.... pistoja, töitä, isoja muutoksia, keskusteluja, elämää, iloa, naurua, surua, itkua, rakkautta, lisää keskusteluja, hyvää mieltä, ahdistusta, järjestelyä, olemista - eikös siinä nyt aikas hyvin kahteen viikkon :)

Pistojen osalta kirahvi on valmis - ollut jo hyvän aikaa. Työn alla tällä hetkellä keittiötaulu, joka osa RPH 2011 -projektia. Kuvia, kunhan jossain vaiheessa löytyy inspistä niitä ottaa.

Ihana viikonloppu

Viikonloppu oli aivan mahtava :) Sain viettää aikaa tyttärieni kanssa irti arjesta, nauttien heidän iloisuudestaan ja rennosta olosta. Kävimme kaupunkikierroksella, kävellen  muutaman tunnin, nauttien jäätelöstä ja ihanasta kesän jälkeisestä kelistä. Ja tokihan ristipistot kuuluivat myös viikonloppuun :) Aloitin nollasta ja sain tämän aikaan


I had a wonderful weekend :) My daughters and I spent the weekend together, enjoying some free time from normal days, enjoying my DD's happiness and a relaxed time. We had a town walk for a few hours, enjoying icecream and the weather had a hint on summer in it. My stitches were part of the weekend :) Started from nothing and got this done

I've been checking out my list and realized that the wizard doesn't do it for me. I  can't see it hanging on the wall at home and I can't think of anyone I'd like to give to as a present. So I've decided to take it out and put in a chart I've been looking at before and this is on my list and is going to get stitched come next year.

Tämän keijun pistelemiseen on mennyt aivan hirmuisesti aikaa -jos ei itse pistoihin, niin ajan kulumiseen sen ollessa kesken ;) Helmiä on tähän työhön tullut tänään mukavasti ja nyt taitaa kaikki olla kohdillaan.

It's taken along time for me to stitch this fairy - if not in the actual stitches then in time flying by :) I've been adding the beads today and guess they are all in.
