Vrään voi aina luottaa ;) / You can always trust the Finnish railways

Siitä on 14 vuotta aikaa, kun viimeksi kuljin junalla töihin - ja sama pätee Vr:llä edelleen; aikataulut on mit ä on.... 5 päivää olen Helsingissä käynyt ja 3 kertaa on junat olleet myöhässä. Onni onnettomuudessa on se, että onneksi minulla on ollut aikaa "myöhästyä" ;) En sano tätä ollenkaan negatiivisessa mielessä, vaan totean faktana, että NÄIN ON!!!!

It's been 14 years since I last used a train to go to work - and the Finnish railways continues as then; the trains are late.... Out of the 5 days that I've used the train, it's been late 3 times. Good for me, I've always left early enough to have time to be "late" ;) I'm not saying this in a negative sence, just brinning out the fact that THIS IS HOW IT GOES!!!!

Silloin joskus, kun olin nuori ja nätti ;) tuli neulottua jos vaikka mitä junassa istuessa. Ja näin näyttää tapahtuvan jälleen; joka kerralla on ollut neule mukana ja jotain pientä olen saanut aikaan. Silloin joskus historiassa ei ollut kännyköitä, jotka olisivat "häirinneet" käsitöiden tekoa - nyt osa ajasta junassa istuessa kuluu siihen, että "raportoi" menneestä työpäivästä taikka lasten kanssa tulee - varsinkin aamuisin hoputeltua kouluun lähtemään - juteltua niitä näitä. Muun ajan olenkin sitten neulonut ja tänään kävinkin ostamassa lisää pyöröpuikkoja, etten töki vieressä istujaa :D

Way back when I was young and beautiful ;) I used to knit loads while travelling on the train. And that's the way it seems to be now; each time I've had a knitwork with me and I've managed to stitch something small. Way back in history there weren't any cellphones to disturb knitting - now part of the time I sit in the train I talk on my phone, "reporting" how my day has gone or talking with my children - mostly in the mornings to get them to go to school - talking this and that. The rest of the time I knit! Just today I bought cordneedles to avoid pocking the person sitting next to me :D

Juu niin, pistelyt jäävät sitten tänne kotio; junassa ei ole tarpeeksi tilaa levittäytyä ohjeiden, lankojen, saksien yms. kanssa.

Oh yes, I'll stitch here at home; there's not enough space in the train to spread out with all the floss, chart, scissors etc.

Nyt maate! Aamulla on aikainen herätys :O
I'm off to bed! I've got an early wakeup in the morning :O
